TexturePunk.com Launches May 2026

After months of development, I am happy to announce that TexturePunk will be officially launched May 2026.

What Is TexturePunk?

TexturePunk is a digital archive of real, hand-made textures, brushes, and surface scans created from physical materials and real-world experimentation.

TexturePunk exists to give designers access to textures that feel authentic, textures with imperfections, history, and character, rather than synthetic, stock, or algorithmically generated imagery.

This project has been built over many years and is now being released publicly for the first time.

The Purpose of TexturePunk

Texture Punk was created to preserve and share a way of working that prioritizes physical process and experimentation.

In an era where much of digital design is built from templates, automation, and generative tools, TexturePunk focuses on textures that originate in the real world, created through paint, ink, paper, cardboard, concrete, metal, photography, and hands-on exploration.

The goal is to support designers with materials that feel grounded and human. In this era of AI generated images, we need this NOW more than ever!

What You’ll Find Inside the Collection

The Texture Punk archive includes:

  • High-resolution textures made from physical materials
  • Scanned analog media and distressed surfaces
  • Curated texture collections alongside one-off experimental assets
  • Files designed to be layered, masked, and integrated into a wide range of design workflows

The collection spans many styles and intensities, from subtle surface detail to aggressive, high-contrast textures, allowing designers to choose what best fits their work.

How Texture Punk Is Structured

TexturePunk is not a static download or a one-time release. The platform is designed as a living archive, with new textures and collections added over time. Some releases are curated thematic collections, while others are smaller experimental additions. This approach allows the library to grow organically, reflecting ongoing experimentation rather than a fixed endpoint.

Who Texture Punk Is For

TexturePunk is built for designers who value:

  • Texture as a core design element
  • Physical materials and hands-on process
  • Imperfection and variation
  • Assets that add depth and character to digital work

It is not designed for every workflow or aesthetic, and it does not aim to replace clean, minimal design systems. Instead, it exists as a complementary resource for designers who want to introduce tactile elements into their work.

Using TexturePunk Assets

All TexturePunk assets are intended to be easy to integrate into both personal and commercial projects. Textures can be used in a wide range of applications, including print, web design, album artwork, packaging, posters, and digital illustration. Licensing is designed to be straightforward and flexible, allowing designers to focus on creating rather than managing restrictions.
