When a teenage Plastic Citizen had too much music equipment at his disposal, this is what happens. Part Einstürzende Neubauten, part Test Dept, and all cringe. Enjoy, if you can. These tracks were record in a home studio somewhere between 1984-1988 with some rudimentary equipment, microphones, contact mic’ed plates, drum machines, etc… These were the foundations of what would later become actual songs, actual albums, and actual recordings. Consider this the demo to several decades of unique and interesting music. In the near future, I will dig out more, much much more. But use this as a taste for what’s to come.
As a general FYI, I am considering re-mastering a few of these with what I can. I don’t have the original separated files, just recordings that came off of cassette tapes. But I might be able to find a modern-day method of rescuing these tracks.
